Members of the Hills Branch have drafted a motion to establish a Well-being Sub-Committee which complies with NSW Labor Objectives, Governance Rules 2023 and Code of Conduct 2022(V2).
This initiative was brought forward by Hills Branch members Dave Goddard and Chris Worthington following some valuable feedback during the recent State Election Campaign.
Purpose of the sub-committee shall be:
in the first instance:
- Promote the wellbeing and engagement of branch members
- to actively and sensitively communicate with and visit Life and Paid-up current Memberswho are on the most up-to-date Membership List of Hills Branch,
- to preserve Member privacy and confidentiality at all times,
- to make routine reports and recommendations to Branch Management committee, and
- to ensure that every Member has transport to the Branch meetings,
in the second instance:
to recommend and/or create social activities such as Barbeques or other gatherings and request the Secretary to invite lapsed Branch Members of the Branch to attend such events throughout the year.
This will be formally tabled for endorsement at our next branch meeting in June 2023.
Congratulations to Dave & Chris for ensuring the well-being of all our members remains at the forefront of our priorities within the branch.
